After months of fun in the sun in your backyard swimming pool, you might notice that by the end of the season, your pool could use some pool repairs/renovations. However, if you aren’t quite sure if pool repairs/renovations should really be on your to-do list, here are some signs you should make the process a priority:
- Your pool pump isn’t working—Your pool pump is one of the most important mechanical features of your pool. While the most obvious sign that your pump isn’t working is that it isn’t turning on at all, you might also have a problem with your pump if it makes peculiar noises when it runs or if there seems to be air in the pump basket.
- Your pool filter is compromised—If your filter has cracks in it or it leaks, you should make repair a priority. Otherwise, during the winter season, your filter will have a hard time keeping your pool clean and make it even more difficult to get your pool ready for the new season.
- The water in your pool isn’t crystal clear—Even in the winter, your pool water should be clear and blue. If you’re having a hard time making this happen, despite your best efforts, it might be time to invest in repairs.
