  • Floatation Devices – One popular category of pool toys are flotation devices such as pool noodles or inflatable rafts. While these toys don’t meet the strict safety standards of life vests, they still help keep the user afloat, which can make it easier and more enjoyable for you or your child to swim in the deep part of the pool.
  • Sinking Toys – Another category of swimming pool toys is sinking toys, also called diving toys. As the name suggests, these toys are designed to sink to the bottom of the pool. Once they sink, the user dives down to collect them. Sinking toys can be used for a variety of games. For example, you can have your child collect them as fast as possible, or you can have multiple players race each other to collect the most.
  • Floating Toys – Lastly, there are also swimming pool toys designed to float on top of the water, such as toy boats or sea creatures. These are not floatation devices, so they can’t help a person float. Instead, they are designed to be chased or moved around on the surface in various games.
